A first-of-its-kind health care facility has landed at John Wayne Airport (JWA), providing travelers access to health services at a time of heightened health awareness among passengers and airport employees.
Now open, the Hoag Fly Well Clinic, located post-security in Terminal B across from Gate 10, offers walk-in and scheduled appointments with an onsite licensed health care provider who can treat minor illnesses and injuries, as well as cold and flu symptoms, travel sickness and prescriptions. Travelers are encouraged to also visit the Fly Well Clinic for general health and wellness information, a free Virtual Reality (VR) experience to relax and reduce the stress sometimes associated with travel, and more.
“We are proud to partner with John Wayne Airport to offer convenient access to quality health care for the millions of people who fly to or from the airport every year,” said Marcy Brown, senior vice president and chief hospital operations officer. “Our hope is that the Fly Well Clinic will help travelers reach their destination safe and healthy.”
Hoag also opened its Rapid COVID-19 Testing Clinic at JWA earlier this year. Located in Terminal B on the Departure Level before the TSA Security Checkpoint, testing is open to travelers as well as the surrounding community, with results available within 15-30 minutes. The testing site is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. and the cost is $139 per test.
Some airlines and travel destinations require a PCR test from an approved partner. Before flying, it is advised that travelers verify that the Hoag COVID-19 rapid test fulfills the airline or destination’s requirements.
