Sunscreen is a great tool, but clothes are the best shield against burns and cancer

I’m not the type of dermatologist who will tell you to stay out of the sun. As an avid surfer and gardener, I would be a hypocrite to suggest you should waste all this gorgeous weather by spending your summer indoors.
If you fear the sun, move to Seattle. But if you regularly take advantage of the sunshine we enjoy here in Orange County, remember to use caution – and a good hat.
