Megan Ponke, M.S., R.D.N.

Megan is a Registered Dietitian with over 4 years of experience in both the clinical and wellness realms of dietetics. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Sciences with a nutrition emphasis as well as a Master of Science in Clinical Nutrition from Grand Valley State University. She began her career at a university where she provided nutrition counseling to students with food allergies, student athletes and students with weight concerns. Now she works at Hoag Hospital in Newport Beach in the cardiovascular, oncology, gastrointestinal surgical and intensive care units. She feels her clinical expertise lends itself well to providing the best care for patients both in and out of the hospital. She loves the opportunity Hoag for Her provides to step into a nutrition counseling role again. Megan is passionate about health and wellness and wants to encourage others to be the same. She looks at the world of healthcare through a preventative lens. She aims to always use the most current evidence-based research. She enjoys educating others on the topics of nutrition and sustainable lifestyle changes, all while promoting a healthy relationship with food. In her spare time, Megan loves hiking, baking, reading a good book and spending time with her two cats.
