Outpatient endoscopy services are now available at Hoag Health Center-Newport Beach. Hoag Endoscopy Center was custom-built with physician input to maximize efficiency and streamline patient flow, ensuring the optimal patient experience.
The new center is equipped with three spacious procedure rooms that include dictation stations with computers so physicians can easily document the case without needing to leave the room, and 12 admission and recovery bays designed with privacy walls to mitigate sound and make the experience more comfortable.
“Hoag Endoscopy Center offers the same quality care that is provided by the same expert health care providers in the GI Lab at Hoag Hospital Newport Beach,” says Kim Mikes, director, Short Stay Unit, Pre-Admission Screening & GI Lab. “The new center’s goal was to tailor care specifically to outpatient needs and make the patient experience as comfortable and efficient as possible.”
In designing Hoag Endoscopy Center, patient experience was a main objective. Patients experience a shorter wait time and spend less time at the facility overall because the center is designed specifically for outpatient procedures. Hoag Endoscopy Center is beautifully decorated to create a serene environment and offers patients many features such as ample on-site parking, and easy access right off of Superior Avenue.
“We will maintain specialized interventional procedures, inpatients and higher acuity outpatients in the hospital’s GI Lab, and move uncomplicated outpatient procedures to this beautiful new center to help improve efficiencies at both locations,” explains Kim.
