Meet Dr. Mindy Bixby of the Salsbury Family Movement Disorders Program

Mindy Bixby, D.O., is Hoag’s newest Parkinson’s disease (PD) and movement disorders expert. She is a board-certified neurologist, with offices in Aliso Viejo, Laguna Beach and Newport Beach.

PD is the second most common adult neurogenerative disease behind Alzheimer’s. The incidence of PD and other movement disorders is growing as our population ages.
Recognizing this, the Salsbury Family Movement Disorders Program, which is part of Hoag’s Pickup Family Neurosciences Institute, is growing to address the needs of Orange County’s Parkinson’s and movement disorders community, with access to specialized services at Hoag’s Newport Beach and Irvine hospital outpatient centers, and its community clinics in Huntington Beach, Tustin and Laguna Beach.

The Salsbury Family Movement Disorders Program now has four fellowship-trained neurologists and two dedicated neurosurgeons performing advanced procedures such as deep brain
stimulation placement.
