Hoag was named to Becker’s Hospital Review’s 2014 list of great neurosurgery and spine programs for offering remarkable spine and neurosurgical care as based on clinical accolades and recognition from various healthcare groups and agencies.
Hoag: Hoag’s Neurosciences Institute is the most comprehensive in Orange County and it continues to expand its offerings. In February, Hoag launched its Hoag Neurosurgery Spine Program at Memorial Hospital Presbyterian in Newport Beach, Calif., which is led by a multidisciplinary team of physical therapists, pain management specialists, neurologists, neurosurgeons and nurse navigators. Last summer, Hoag physicians were first in the county to perform a newly approved alternative to cervical spinal fusion with the SECURE-C Cervical Artificial Disc to treat a patient’s neck pain and upper extremity numbness. The Magnet-accredited hospital received Healthgrades’ Neurosciences Excellence Award this year, as well as recognition as one of the 50 best hospitals in the country and as a distinguished hospital for clinical excellence.
