Jennifer Carman, MS, PT

Jennifer Carman graduated from the University of California at Irvine with a Bachelors of Science degree in Biological Sciences. She then continued her education at the University of the Pacific in Stockton where she received her Masters of Science degree in Physical Therapy. Jennifer was honored to receive a well coveted academic scholarship from the Veterans Affairs Department. Jennifer is especially proud that her first years of practicing Physical Therapy were to treat the men and women of the armed services.

Jennifer values interacting with others, both personally and professionally while providing the highest quality of care. As a Physical Therapist she believes in treating each patient as an individual, each with their own unique symptoms, presentation and functional limitations. Each treatment is specifically designed for the individual in order to achieve their goals to restore function and quality of life.

Jennifer has provided Physical Therapy in Orange County for over 25 years. She began her career working with Neurologic and Orthopedic patients with a special interest in the Lumbo- Pelvic- Hip complex. Through her continued education Jennifer’s career path naturally evolved into specializing in Pelvic Health Physical Therapy. Jennifer treats with an emphasis in functional movement patterns; she is passionate about restoring muscle balance required for pain free movement and function.

Pain, injury, trauma can create dysfunctional movement strategies involving underworking and reciprocally overworking muscle groups. These strategies are not sustainable and long term create painful and dysfunctional holding patterns. Jennifer utilizes direct and indirect treatment methods in order to interact with the neuromuscular system, fascial system, parasympathetic nervous system and respiratory diaphragm in order to restore balance and improve patients’ quality of life.

Jennifer is happiest outdoors in nature walking, hiking, paddleboarding. She also enjoys dancing, gym work outs and dinners with family and friends.
