Eat. See. Be Seen. Hoag's 27th Annual Summer Movie Classic features the film Gravity and hosts over 30 of O.C.'s finest restaurants

NEWPORT BEACH, Calif. June 2, 2014 Celebrating its 27th year, the Hoag Summer Movie Classic will attract hundreds of people to The Hangar in Costa Mesa at the Orange County Fairgrounds, 88 Fair Drive. This longstanding annual food and film event, hosted by the Hoag Hospital Foundation and its 552 Club, will be held on Wednesday, June 11, 2014, at 5 p.m.

The Summer Movie Classic serves up culinary masterpieces from over 30 of Orange County’s finest restaurants. The restaurants are truly spectacular, offering everything from ceviche shooters to creative tacos and sliders, to freshly brewed specialty coffee and decadent desserts. There is something for every palette and guests are sure to try a new restaurant they haven’t discovered. Each of the local restaurants donates their time and talent to this event, making it a huge success to raise funds and friends for Hoag. In addition to the great food and tasting options, there will be live entertainment and a private showing of the film Gravity.

The Summer Movie Classic has raised over $2 million dollars and introduced a number of new friends to Hoag since its inception in1988. “Now in its 27th year, the Summer Movie Classic has been one of Orange County’s largest and finest gourmet gatherings, attracting dedicated friends of Hoag,” said Gina Cereda, event co-chair with Terri Turner. “This will be a night to remember for all who attend in support of Hoag and the patients and communities they serve.”

The event also features a raffle that includes gift packages from participating restaurants and a grand prize of a one-year-lease for a BMW 428i Coupe, courtesy of Sterling BMW in Newport Beach.
