Hoag Memorial Hospital Presbyterian Ranked Among Best Hospitals
Newport Beach, Calif. — Hoag Memorial Hospital Presbyterian was ranked among the Best Hospitals in the United States according to the U.S. News and World Report.
Hoag was ranked the 13th best hospital in California and the seventh best hospital in the Los Angeles metro area.

Being recognized as one of America’s best hospitals is a wonderful affirmation of the efforts of our talented staff, expert physicians and committed volunteers. Hoag’s Orthopedics Institute was ranked 43rd nationally and was among 143 facilities, out of the 4,793 facilities total that were analyzed for the latest Best Hospital rankings, to be nationally ranked in one of the 16 specialties.
In addition, Hoag was ranked high performing in eight adult specialties including: Cancer, Geriatrics, Nephrology, Pulmonology, Gastroenterology, Gynecology, Neurology & Neurosurgery, and Urology.
Hoag was also ranked high with patient satisfactory, receiving an 84 percent for overall satisfaction, according to patient responses to a federal government survey. Patients also noted that 89 percent would definitely recommend Hoag to friends and family.
