NEWPORT BEACH, Calif., June 21, 2023 — Recently, Hoag Health System’s Security Department was designated as a Program of Distinction by the International Association of Healthcare Security and Safety (IAHSS).
Hoag becomes the 5th health system in California and the only health system in Orange County to receive this prestigious designation.
To be designated as a Program of Distinction, at least 70% of the Department’s security officers must attain a professional certification from IAHSS, which includes passing an exam designed to test their knowledge in areas such as security philosophy, patrol techniques, field investigations, emergency management, supervision, and management.
