Marlene Abarca Ramos, A.S.W., P.P.S.C., is an Associate Clinical Social Worker with a Pupil Personnel Services Credential. Marlene provides psychotherapy in both English and Spanish to children, adolescents, adults, older adults, couples and families. She is trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Problem Solving Therapy (PSL), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavior Therapy (TF-CBT), Crisis Intervention (CI), Family-Based Crisis Intervention (FBCI), Mental Health First Aid, and is informed in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). Marlene has experience working at a children’s psychiatric mental health inpatient center, providing emergency consults, and facilitating evidenced-based groups. She has a passion for working with individuals in a mental health crisis and collaborating with local schools to ensure students’ psycho-social-emotional needs are met.
