Rocio Matlabalcazar

Rocio Matlabalcazar has over 15 years of experience as a Community Health Worker providing and developing community programs for Latino communities. Rocio is a member of the California State Promotores Network and is trained by Latino Health Access and the National Network of Community Health Workers ‘Visión y Compromiso’. Rocio is dedicated to improving the health and well-being of underrepresented communities and with her years of experience, is passionate about being a liaison between the community and health and social providers. In addition, Rocio has a Medical Assistant Certification, is bilingual in English and Spanish and in her free time, practices Theta Healing. Rocio has been with Hoag since 2019 as a Community Health Worker and is a successful peer educator who has developed a trusting relationship with the community she serves.
