Your Hoag Compass membership fee ($99 per month) covers services that we provide to you as a member, such as:

• You will have direct access to your primary care team, including regular appointments with your PCP or the Hoag Compass nurse practitioner aligned with your PCP.
• Direct messaging with your care coordinator and medical assistant will facilitate streamlined communication.
• Access to a Hoag Compass Health Coach for personalized guidance on Nutrition & Exercise.
• Access to an on-site clinical psychologist for mental health and stress management support.
• Your comprehensive care plan is not just a generic template, but a personalized roadmap tailored to your unique health data and lab results.
• Our services are designed for your convenience, with both virtual and in-person care available at the Hoag On-Demand Care and Innovation Center in Newport Beach.
• Full access to the Hoag Hospital network of specialty physicians is conveniently accessible through the Hoag Compass Application.

Your Hoag Compass membership fee does not cover your copays for appointment visits, advanced labs, and genetic tests. Your insurance may not cover other medical services. Contact your insurance provider to confirm what is and is not included in your plan.

We accept PPO and Medicare PPO insurance plans. Insurance covers the basics, like annual labs, office visits, and physical exams. Insurance does not cover the initial set-up or monthly program maintenance fees.

Yes! You can schedule virtual visits with our care team through the Hoag Compass app. If not, you can also schedule in-person appointments at our Newport Beach clinic at 4699 Jamboree Road in Newport Beach, CA. The clinic is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. PST. Feel free to book appointments directly within the app or contact a Care Coordinator to help schedule.

Hoag Compass is available for free in the Apple App Store and the Google Play Store.

Hoag has an extensive network of specialists to help manage your care. Care Coordinators will book an appointment with a Hoag Specialist on your behalf and share relevant information with them to help with your visit.

Advanced lab and genetic tests will incur out-of-pocket fees. Your general labs, which you get annually with your primary care provider, are typically covered. However, you can contact your insurance provider to understand how much advanced labs will cost. You can ask the care team for a lab order with billable codes, which you can then send to your insurance to determine what’s covered and what’s not, as well as the prices for the latter. Genetic tests will cost $220 through our preferred partner, which you will be responsible for out-of-pocket.
